XXII World Congress of Asthma

We are very pleased to invite you to attend the XXII World Congress of Asthma in Mexico City 2014 (WCA-2014 Mexico). The WCA congresses have been organized by INTERASMA, the Global Asthma Association, since the first congress that took place in Lübeck in 1956. Many very succesfull congresses have been organised ever since, such as New Orleans, Lisbon, Paris, Maebashi, Monte Carlo, Jerusalem, Montpellier, Buenos Aires, Saint Petersbourg, Athens, and more recently the unforgettable WCA 2012 in Quebec, Canada, among others. In addition, many regional meetings were organized in Bilbao, Prague, Warsaw, Salsomaggiore, Palma de Gran Canaria, among others. The long life of INTERASMA has been related with excellent educational programmes about asthma and related conditions.
In 2014 INTERASMA is celebrating its 60th Anniversary as it was registered in 1954 in Milan, and we will celebrate it in México City during the XXII WCA Mexico City 2014. Mexico city is one of the most beautiful cities and one of the top five cultural destinations in the Americas. There are over 200 museums in Mexico City including one of the most remarkable anthropological museums in the World, the National Museum of Anthropology in which the most relevant and best-preserved pieces of the Maya and Aztec culture are exposed. The outstanding ancient city of Teotihuacan is also anthropologically significant for its complex, multi-family residential compounds and pyramids, and it is only a 45 minute drive away! Xochilmico, Frida Kahlo’s blue house in Coyohacan, and the gorgeous city of Mexico are additional attractions which make coming over to WCA 2014 Mexico city a unique experience, combined with the traditional Mexican culture (including the wonderful Mexican cuisine), its modern and lively daily life, a lovely, clean and safe city with unique Mexican hospitality.
