Interasma Global Asthma Association

Objectives

OBJECTIVES (I)

To be devoted to the organization of postgraduate education for general practitioners, pediatricians and family doctors. Meetings should be the starting point to launch national activities in each region. Chairmen should determine which are the best alternatives to promote our Association and benefit their communities.

OBJECTIVES (II)

To continue the dissemination of the International Guidelines of Asthma. Chairmen should work actively, together with national societies of pneumologists, allergologists, pediatricians and family doctors, on the local adaptation of the International Guidelines and their implementation among the public and private health care providers.

OBJECTIVES (III)

Considering the worldwide dimension of INTERASMA, we must tackle the problem of peripheral regions, with special concern to the emerging countries where there is poor sanitation, limited education, inadequate healthcare infrastructures and resources and ignorance of preventive practices.
